Construction d’un village d’accueil écologique au Bénin pour la diaspora africaine historique

Où? Commune de OUIDAH Bénin

Le retour sur la terre-mère est un désir partagé par de plus en plus d’afrodescendants dans la Caraïbe et partout dans le monde. Parmi les destinations prisées, nous avons constaté suite à une enquête menée par écrit grâce à nos fiches-contacts, que le Bénin est un pays d’Afrique que beaucoup d’afrodescendants choisissent comme lieu de retour. C’est un choix motivé par la stabilité du pays, « on s’y sent chez soi » disent-ils et il y a de « bonnes vibrations ».

Cependant, des questions pratiques se posent et s’imposent :

Comment organiser mon retour ? Comment préparer mon installation et mon intégration ?

Où vais-je loger sereinement ? Comment garantir ma reconnexion culturelle et ou spirituelle ?

Quelles sont les opportunités professionnelles ?

Pourrais-je mettre en œuvre mon projet professionnel où et comment?

Comment assurer ma couverture juridique dans mes différentes démarches ? etc...

Je m’appelle Akhsamiya. Mon conjoint et moi, accompagnés de nos 3 enfants avons fait ce retour au Bénin depuis 4 ans. Cependant, nous avons été confrontés aux difficultés d’installation et d’intégration, c’est pourquoi, nous avons décidé de construire un lieu d’accueil pour la diaspora et ceci en étroite collaboration avec des frères et sœurs du Bénin, l’association Médiation Internationale pour les Réparations (de l’esclavage) (M.I.R Bénin) et l’ONG OPU (Organisation des Panafricains Unis). Convaincus que les réparations passent aussi par le retour sur la terre-mère et la reconnexion culturelle et spirituelle, nous nous sommes lancés dans ce projet et avons besoin de votre contribution pour le réaliser. Ceci pour le bien de notre peuple et celui du Bénin qui a aussi besoin pour son développement, de retrouver ses enfants partis malgré eux depuis environ 4 siècles.

Présentation globale du projet :

Construction d’un centre d’accueil de la diaspora au Bénin comprenant des espaces d’hébergement, de jardinage bio, de restauration locale, des espaces culturels et cultuels, des espaces d’informations et de formation.

Il s’agirait d’un lieu de transition entre le pays d’origine et le pays hôte mettant à disposition un dispositif d’accompagnement pour une meilleure insertion au Bénin.

Localisation :

Le terrain est situé non loin de la route des captifs qui passe entre Allada et Ouidah en passant par Savi.

Il est situé dans un environnement calme et naturel avec un sol constructible et cultivable.

Choix du site :

Le village d’accueil de la Diaspora sera situé dans la commune de Ouidah dont les liens historiques avec la diaspora jadis déportée sont forts et indiscutables. Ce fut aussi une ville d’accueil des « Agoudas», descendants d’africains revenus du Brésil et des Caraïbes qui de par leur savoir-faire acquis outre-mer ont marqué et marquent encore le paysage architecturapl du Bénin. Ouidah fut le lieu d’installation des Forts Français et Portugais, des comptoirs. C’est un lieu très marqué par les déportations, les embarquements des captifs emmenés de force dans les Amériques et les Caraïbes. Le rôle joué par Ouidah dans l’histoire de l’esclavage transatlantique a motivé notre choix afin que ce lieu soit aussi le lieu des réparations. Il faut panser là où il y a eu la blessure.

OBJECTIFS :

Aujourd’hui, de plus en plus d’Afrodescendants éprouvent le besoin d’un Retour en Afrique mais sont confrontés à des problèmes autant d’ordre administratif que de réintégration.

Dès lors, le présent projet vise la facilitation d’installation, d’obtention de documents administratifs et de réintégration professionnelle, sociale et culturelle.

Caractéristiques du terrain

Le terrain d’accueil a une superficie de 5000 m2 environ. C’est un terrain plat, arboré, ventilé dans un environnement rural et dégagé. En y allant, vous pourrez voir les maisons traditionnelles fabriquées en terre par exemple. Le projet a été validé par un ingénieur architecte.

Nature du projet :

C’est un projet de nature Unificatrice.

Il vise en effet, à UNIR les afrodescendants et leurs frères et sœurs du Continent Africain.

Philosophie du projet :

D’un point de vue philosophique, c’est un projet de reconnexion et d’auto-réparation de l’esclavage.

Les enjeux du projet :

• Le Retour paisible des afrodescendants en Terre Africaine
• La reconnexion culturelle et cultuelle
• La participation au développement de l’Afrique notamment du Bénin
• La contribution à la dynamique des réparations de l’esclavage
• La réhabilitation
• La réparation écologique

NOS BESOINS:

Chacun peut par sa contribution nous permettre de réaliser ce projet communautaire d'un centre d'accueil pour les afrodescenants au Bénin.

Selon ses possibilités, l'addition donnera la multiplication et nous serons heureux d'inaugurer et de profiter pleinement du Centre d'accueil des afrodescendants au Bénin!!! Merci à chacun !

Construction of an ecological welcome village in Benin for the historical African diaspora

The return to mother earth is a desire shared by more and more Afrodescendants in the Caribbean and around the world. Among the popular destinations, we have noticed that Benin is an African country that many Afro-descendants choose as a place of return. This choice is motivated by the stability of the country, "we feel at home" they say and there are "good vibrations".

However, practical questions arise and are necessary:

How to organize my return? How do I prepare my installation and integration?

Where will I stay in peace? How can I guarantee my cultural and/or spiritual reconnection?

What are the professional opportunities?

Will I be able to implement my professional project where and how

How can I ensure my legal coverage in my different steps? etc...

My name is Akhsamiya. My spouse and I, accompanied by our 3 children have been returning to Benin for 3 years. However, we were confronted with the difficulties of installation and integration, that is why we decided to build a place of welcome for the diaspora and this in close collaboration with brothers and sisters of Benin, the association Mediation Internationale pour les Reparations (de l'esclavage) (M.I.R Benin) and the NGO OPU (Organisation des Panafricains Unis). Convinced that reparations also require a return to mother earth and cultural and spiritual reconnection, we have embarked on this project and need your contribution to make it happen. This is for the good of our people and that of Benin which also needs for its development, to find its children who have left in spite of themselves for about 4 centuries.

Global presentation of the project :

Construction of a welcome center for the diaspora in Benin including accommodation, organic gardening, local catering, cultural and worship spaces, information and training spaces.

It would be a place of transition between the country of origin and the host country providing a support system for a better integration in Benin.

Location:

The site is located not far from the road of the captives which passes between Allada and Ouidah through Savi.

It is located in a quiet and natural environment with a constructible and cultivable soil.

Choice of the site :

The Diaspora reception village will be located in the commune of Ouidah, whose historical links with the formerly deported Diaspora are strong and indisputable. It was also a city of welcome for the "Agoudas", descendants of Africans who returned from Brazil and the Caribbean and who, through their know-how acquired overseas, have marked and still mark the architectural landscape of Benin. Ouidah was the place where the French and Portuguese forts and trading posts were installed. It is a place very marked by the deportations, the embarkations of captives taken by force to the Americas and the Caribbean. The role played by Ouidah in the history of transatlantic slavery motivated our choice so that this place would also be the place of reparations. It is necessary to heal where the wound was.

OBJECTIVES:

Today, more and more Afro-descendants feel the need to return to Africa but are confronted with problems of both administration and reintegration.

Therefore, the present project aims at facilitating the installation, obtaining administrative documents and professional, social and cultural reintegration.

Characteristics of the land

The reception site has an area of approximately 5000 m2. It is a flat land, with trees, ventilated in a rural and open environment. When you go there, you will be able to see the traditional houses made of earth for example. The project has been validated by an architectural engineer.

It aims indeed, to UNITE the Afrodescendants and their brothers and sisters of the African Continent.

Philosophy of the project :From a philosophical point of view, it is a project of reconnection and self-repair from slavery.
