Urgence pour l'épicerie d'Oupia

Urgence de devoir mettre la clé́ sous la porte est réel. Si rien ne change, ce sera fin décembre !"

Le constat est sans appel pour Patricia et Marc Pascaud, les propriétaires fidèles au poste depuis 2014, 6 jours sur 7.

Parce que la pandémie Covid est passée par là -confinement, mesures barrières qui limitent les places, baisse notable des touristes durant l'été́ et l'automne, arrêt des activités des associations qui animaient le lieu à la morte saison, et dernièrement fermeture de la terrasse.

Parce que l'on ne peut se résoudre à voir disparaitre l'Especiarià, qui est, bien davantage qu'un simple café́-épicerie, lieu de rencontre, d'échanges; le poumon et le cœur de notre village.

Parce que si la mairie travaille à un plan de sauvetage, en lien avec tous les acteurs politiques, économiques du territoire et au-delà̀, si des schémas se dessinent, des aides peuvent se manifester, tout cela prend du temps, les solutions ne se font pas d'un seul claquement de doigts.

Deux mois, il nous reste deux mois pour éviter la fermeture !

D’où cet appel aux habitants d'Oupia, aux amis, voisins, à tous ceux, touristes, résidents, visiteurs de passage qui ont ou ont eu plaisir à partager les bons moments que nous offrent "L'Espéciarià" Appel aux dons pour aider à traverser, surmonter cette période cruciale. Qu’importe la somme. Dans la mesure de vos moyens.1 €, c'est déjà̀ manifester sa solidarité́. Davantage, c'est offrir des perspectives d'avenir.

Pour qu'Oupia reste un village vivant, où l'on a plaisir à se retrouver !

An emergency for our bar - épicerie.....

If nothing changes quickly, our L’Espéciarià will be going out of business at the end of the year. Thanks to COVID and the lockdown, this risk is uncomfortably real.

The loss of the épicerie would not only be a tragedy for us, the residents of Oupia, but for Marc and Patricia too, who have remained loyal to their role 6 days a week since 2014. It would also be a grave disappointment for the hundreds of visitors who delight in the unique ambiance of La Place in the course of the year.

The limitations caused by the COVID pandemic, such as confinement, social distancing measures that limit places inside the shop, and a notable drop in tourists during the summer and autumn, have dealt a severe blow to the business. In addition, the cessation of the activities that animated La Place in the off-season, and most recently the closure of the terrace, have been devastating.

It is unthinkable that the Espéciarià might disappear.... It is so much more than a simple café and grocery store. It is a place of meeting, of exchanges, of banter and humour, of card games, music and laughter. It is the heart and lungs of our village.

In conjunction with political and economic players in the region and beyond, the Mairie is working on a rescue plan. If all goes well, aid will appear, but it takes time and effort, not a single snap of the fingers. Yet we have only two months left to avoid closure! Hence this appeal to the inhabitants of Oupia; to friends, family, neighbours, tourists, residents, and passing visitors, who over the years have enjoyed sharing the good times that L'Espéciarià and La place de l’église have always offered us.

This is a call for donations to help L’Espéciarià get through the critical period of lockdown while plans are finalised.

Whatever sum may be within your means would be invaluable towards sustaining Oupia as a living village. It would help ensure the future of our èpicerie beyond COVID and the continued animation of La Place as a venue where conviviality can be enjoyed.€ 1 is already showing solidarity and giving moral support. More is to offer concrete prospects for the future.

Het is vijf voor twaalf voor de épicerie !

Het risico dat men met de noorderzon moet vertrekken is reeël. Als er nietsverandert, gebeurt dit eind december !

Voor Marc en Patricia, de trouwe eigenaren die 6 van de 7 dagen op hun post zijn, is dezeconstatering is onherroepelijk

Omdat de Covid-pandemie op deze manier doorgaat : lockdown, afstandsmaatregelen die hetaantal plaatsen beperken, een aanzienlijke daling van toeristen gedurende de zomer en de herfst,het stoppen van de verenigingsactiviteiten die leven in de brouwerij brachten tijdens hetlaagseizoen, en onlangs het sluiten van het terras.Omdat men zich er niet bij kan neerleggen dat ‘L’Especiarià’ zal verdwijnen, een épicerie die veelmeer is dan een gewoon café-épicerie, een ontmoetingsplaats om van gedachten te wisselen ; het zijn de longen en het hart van ons dorp.Omdat de Mairie samen met alle spelers uit de politiek en de economie in onze regio aan eenreddingsplan werkt en pas daarna, als de contouren zichtbaar worden, hulp kan worden geboden;dit gaat veel tijd kosten, oplossingen heb je niet met het klikken van je vingers.

Twee maanden..... er resten ons nog twee maanden om de sluiting te vermijden !Vandaar deze oproep aan de inwoners van Oupia, aan vrienden, buren, aan iedereen, toeristen,bewoners en passanten die genoten hebben van de goede momenten die ‘L’Especiarià’ ons biedt.

Een oproep om te geven teneinde door deze cruciale periode heen te komen en ze te boven tekomen. Maakt niet uit welk bedrag, binnen de grenzen van uw mogelijkheden.Voor 1 € geeft u al blijk van uw solidariteit. Als u meer geeft, biedt dat perspectieven voor detoekomst.Opdat Oupia een levendig dorp blijft, waar het plezierig is elkaar te ontmoeten !
