Loving Hands Safe House est un orphelinat/maison de protection d'enfants crée en 2013 par Mama Jane ( c'est son troisième orpheliat) situé à Gilgil ( quelques km après Naivasha).

La particularité de cet etablissement est que la plus part des enfants sont atteints du Sida et rejeter par leur famille.

A Loving Hands, la trentaine d'enfants reçoit ainsi assistance médicale, éducation, protection et écoute.

En cette période, la prise en charge de ces enfants est mise à rude épreuve, puisque qu'il n'y a plus de visites et beaucoup moins de dons pour soutenir les frais quotidien et mensuels, notamment d'alimentation. En plus d'être nécessaire pour leur bonne croissance, l'alimentation est un point très important pour un meilleur fonctionnement du traitement qu'ils reçoivent ( fourni gratuitement par le gouvernement Kenyan).

Pour aider la trentaine d'enfants vous pouvez contribuer à les aider en faisant un don, aussi petit qu'il soit, il sera utilisé à bon escient!

Pour vous donner une idée: Un mois de nourriture c'est 20,000KES soit un peu moins de 180€.

Parrainer l'éducation d'un de ces enfants pour 35,000KES soit 305€.

En plus il y a le loyer, les salaires des mamas qui s'occupent des enfants et de l'entretien ( cuisine, nettoyage, laver le linge,..) et les frais généraux (gaz pour la cuisine, électricité,..)

Nous avons déjà contribuer à offrir une nouvellle armoire à médicament, financer l'opération du coeur d'un des pensionnaires et réduit leur facture d'électricité grâce à un don d'équipement d'éclairage solaire.

L'objectif: 1000€ afin de pouvoir les mettre à l'abris du besoin pendant 4 à 6 mois en terme de nourriture et frais généraux. On compte sur vous :)

Helping an orphanage in Kenya cope with the crisis Loving Hands Safe House is an orphanage/child protection house founded in 2013 by Mama Jane. It is located in Gilgil, some kilometres from the next biggest city Naivasha.

What this establishment is known for is that most of the children are HIV positive and have been rejected by their families. At Loving Hands, around thirty children are receiving medical assistance, education, protection and counselling.

During this hard time, the care that these children are receiving is being tested severely, since there are no more visits and far fewer donations to support the daily and monthly costs including food. The food is not only necessary for the survival of the children in general, it is also very important with the medication they are taking to treat their HIV (This medication is provided free of charge by the Kenyan government).

To give you an idea of some of the costs of the Safe House: A month worth of food is 20,000 KES or just under 180€. The education of a child for a year is 35,000 KES or 305€. In addition there is also rent, the wages of the moms who take care of the children at the Safe House, the maintenance of the home and other general expenses (gas for the kitchen, electricity etc.)

Any donation is great !

We have already been able to provide a new medicine cabinet for the Safe House, financed a heart operation for one of the residents and reduced their electric bill thanks to a donation of solar lighting equipment. The objective is to raise 1000€ in order to help them out for the next 4-6 months in terms of food and other important needs.
