In Memory of Hélène Bonacci – Supporting Gianni, her son

Many of us have had the privilege of knowing and working with Hélène.

Beyond her professionalism, she is one of those rare people whose warmth, generosity, and genuine interest in others leave a lasting impression on everyone she meets.

Whether within her team, across the Bank, or beyond, Hélène has touched countless lives through her kindness, openness, and positive spirit. She has a remarkable ability to make people feel welcomed, valued, and cared for. Working with her was never a routine interaction; her humanity, empathy, and enthusiasm brought something special to every encounter.

For many of us, knowing Hélène has been a gift. The affection, gratitude, and admiration she inspires are a testament to the extraordinary person she is.

At the initiative of several colleagues, we are organizing a voluntary collection to provide support for Gianni, her 16-year-old son as he continues his education and takes his first steps into adult life.

This collection is intended exclusively for EIB colleagues who wish to express their support through a personal contribution.

All funds collected will be transferred to the notary in charge of managing the family's affairs. The notary will ensure that the funds are safeguarded and ultimately made available for the benefit of Gianni in accordance with the appropriate legal arrangements.

Participation is entirely voluntary, and any contribution, regardless of the amount, will be greatly appreciated.
