I want to introduce you to Jammeh, a courageous young man living in Gambia 🇬🇲, West Africa.
Jammeh is the eldest of several siblings. Every day, he carries the heavy responsibility of trying to find food and basic necessities for his younger brothers and sisters. With no stable income and very limited local opportunities, he’s struggling just to put food on the table. There are days when they go to bed hungry.
In Gambia, over 48% of the population lives in poverty. Many families survive on less than $2 a day. With rising food prices, unemployment, and limited access to social support, young people like Jammeh are left with very few options.
This fundraiser is here to help Jammeh:
- Buy food and water for his family
- Cover basic needs like clothes, hygiene products, and school supplies for his siblings
- Breathe, even just a little, without the constant fear of hunger
We often take these essentials for granted. But for Jammeh and many others, they are a daily fight.
