My name is Anaël. In 2023, I lost my job due to tumors,

As a result, I have to pay for all my medical expenses out of my pocket. My health care insurance doesn’t cover up everything.

Without a job, I couldn’t afford the urgent surgery I needed to preserve my life and organs. On January 28, 2025, I underwent this major operation because I had about twenty tumors that were draining my blood, making me so anemic, weak and unable to stand for a long time, my life was at risk.

These same tumors also caused a transient ischemic attack (a mini-stroke, similar to a stroke) by making my blood too thick

I had no choice but to seek treatment in a private hospital, as public hospitals had waiting times of six months or more and only offered extreme solutions that would have permanently taken away my ability to have children.

Now, I am facing unexpected hospital bills that I must pay upfront, I have until the end of february to send the payment, with no installment plans available. I only have my mother and brother to support me and I don’t want to indebt them.

This is why I am reaching out for help through this fundraising—to cover my hospital expenses.
