L'HEURE VIDE HUMANITAIRE - Venezuelan refugees

While travelling through South America by car we crossed the border of Ecuador and Colombia in Rumichaca. There we saw so many Venezuelan refugees in such great misery without the help they needed, that we decided to stay. We started this NGO, and have been working together succesfully with local and international organizations to give them the help they need. Please visit us at: www.lheurevidehumanitaire.orgInstagram: L'HEURE VIDE humanitaire L’HEURE VIDE humanitaire is a small network-based NGO focused on short-term projects in emergency situations involving refugee issues worldwide. Our approach is to assist existing humanitarian aid structures and local associations and to supplement them when their opportunities to act are limited or restraint. Our aim is not to direct or to implement. We are there to help. This approach ensures that we can focus on what is needed on the ground and in the now to fill the gaps in aid left by big organizational structures and complex international policy. As a small and nimble organization, we are not limited by bureaucracy or massive overhead. This allows us to concentrate our efforts where we excel: organizing the available resources in a hands-on, creative way to produce tangible results quickly and effectively. Tulip children center

Tulip children center

TULIP CHILDREN PROJECT DESCRIPTIONIn the Slums, life is quite hard due to poverty. Children are the most affected due to lack of food and most of them suffer from Malnutrition. Personally I was born and raised in the slums and growing up in the slums life was hard. Most Children in the slums are bright but their dreams dont come to pass due to the difficulty they go through. Most of the children end up engaging in vices such as crime in order to get food. It was due to these issues that I was inspired to Start Tulip Children Center that will at least change the life of most of the children in the slums. The Aim of these project is to Offer Mentorship to the Children living in the slums: We will be Mentoring Children by Equipping them with life skills necessary to make them survive.Offer food and other basic needs for the orphaned and less privileged children in the society: The project is an income generating activity and the profits gotten from the project will be used to buy food and other basic needs for the children. Most Families here in the Slums the only meal that they can afford to give their children is Ugali(which is made from maize flour) and Kales and as a result they tend to suffer from malnutrition. We will also be giving the children eggs that will at least help in improving their diet. I have for the eggs as most of the hotels that I have spoken to are willing to buy the eggs that we will be producing personally done my research here and I have realized that if we start these project of rearing layers there is already a market .

Help to provide better conditions for sick and injured tortoises recovery

Help to provide better conditions for sick and injured tortoises recovery

ChallengePatients of the Tortoise Breeding and Rehabilitation Centre often remain under observation, treatment, and care during the winter and do not hibernate. They are severely injured, sick or weak tortoises accepted in autumn and winter, which need time for recovery. They have unclosed wounds, infections, fractures, missing parts of the body or are very weak. Among the patients prevail the victims on the road, whose wounds are most severe and slowly treatable.Their recovery is usually a slow and lengthy process, especially in artificial conditions when confined to a room. We have also left active the weakest and sickest babies, hatched in previous autumn. Probably they could hardly survive the winter. Good basic conditions are required for their treatment, including appropriate temperature, humidity, and lighting. The most important factor for tortoise recovery is the heat. Currently they are housed in a small sized room, with poor thermal insulation and therefore difficult to heat. The most important factor for tortoise recovery is the heat. Currently they are housed in a small sized room, with poor thermal insulation and therefore difficult to heat. To deal with this problem, we need a well-insulated and heat-retaining place to accommodate and treat our patients. We have started to construct a recovery room with thermal panels and metal structure. Currently, building work is underway, but we do not have the funds to complete it. The construction of the recovery room costs 13,585 leva (1 EUR = 1.95 BGN.)We appeal you to support us for helping the tortoises! Support us to provide tortoises with warmth. Help us with donation or by sharing our cause! Why should you donate? With your donation, you put a brick or wall on the recovery room where hundreds of tortoises will heal and reside every winter before get healthy to nature. By donating, you become a tortoise friend and you are always welcome in our Rescue Centre to visit us, to get acquainted to the tortoises and our work, and to see what we build with your donation. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support!

Help fighting racism in Hungary!

Help fighting racism in Hungary!

The MGHRO football club has been aiding the support, integration and acclimatisation of migrants and refugees since 1994. The sudden withdrawal of funding has disturbed the ability for the organisation to not only fulfill its mandate of social inclusion and migrant and refugee integration through sports, it has left destitute the migrants, refugees and asylum seekers further entrenching the already lived traumatic experiences of leaving their home coutries. The absence of funding has caused the standstill of organisation activity aimed at supporting the migrants and refugees as, which means the refugee crisis is compounded and further entrenches the stigma of refugees being a social and economic burden to their new communitities. The Organisation no longer can provide a safe space where the refugees and migrants can release their anxiety and interact in social settings, through competitive and social sport. The lack of funding has put stress on the organisation staff as they have to now carry the extended cost of working on the organisation personally for the few activities still running and going to work. The staff is committed to the cause of the organisation and the people who need the assistance from the organsiation, however the added cost burden creates tension on the staffs ability to provide the best possible assistance to their client base. The tension in Hungary has created a climate of fear for the migrants and refugees to be sent back to their home countries in which they have fleed, further alienating and traumatising their presence in the country and in their current respective communities. Our inablity to aid in decreasing these fears and tensions through our interactions and support to refugees will ensure that the narrative around migrants and refugees in the Hungarian community will become worse and a self fulfilling prophecy. While the law is intended to stop illegal immigration, in fact it is crushing the civil society: it deprives the NGOs of the democratic capacity to act in order to solve a problem that the state is not capable to. The MGHRO would implore the public extended European communities for your financial assistance through contributions and donations to enable the continuance of the organizations work in supporting the refugee and migrant community in Hungary. If you would like to help the please see below the Organizations bank Details. Help build school to vulnerable children in northern uganda

Help build school to vulnerable children in northern uganda

Hello everyone & welcome to this money pot!The “Hands of Grace” charity seeks to give back to a village that sheltered its founders when they were fleeing their homes in South Sudan on their way to the refugee camp in Kiryandongo Northern Uganda. “Since my first visit to Uganda and South Sudan 2013-2014 ,we have developed a very strong relationship with the community in Kitgum which has enabled the conception of the school building programme” Hellen. Helen’s passion is compelled strongly by what she saw as a child in a conflict situation .Around 2005, Hellen and her family, headed by her lovely mother, migrated to Norway with the help of the UNHCR and settled in Norway where she went to high school. She now works for a charity that takes care of vulnerable children, creating in her the sentiment to help vulnerable children and young girls in her beloved host country.Helen’s dream is to give children a development space, a care centre and a place of hope and happiness. The project is anticipated to grow into a primary school; a skills centre for technical education and an advocacy movement that sensitises communities and parents on rights of children and parenting skills.and while in the camp in Uganda. The pain of a child in trouble and without care has since plagued her heart to become a child advocate and the hand that givesHands of Grace is a registered organization who wants to assist neglected children in Northern Uganda to get the basic needs of living. We believe every child deserves a chance to have food, medical, clothing, education and spiritual freedom.“Hands of Grace” has been able to secure land, with the offer of the hosting community back in Herøy Norway and in kitgum And Helen's personal resources have been able to put up a three classroom block and 2 room offices as a start up in view of opening a learning centre by 2016. Why kitgum northern Uganda? Lamola village, located in Okidi Parish, was one of the key routes of the LRA insurgents during the 2 decades conflict. It was trampled and looted by the conflicting parties forcing people to flee to Kitgum town. Basic infrastructures were destroyed and schools vandalized and abandoned in favour of amalgamated schools in Kitgum town. Today, normalcy has returned but development has been gradual and impeded because of widespread poverty. Most socio-economic infrastructures are not yet in place as local government budgets continue to suffer deficits. This has left the pursuit of development in critical sectors such as education in the hands of Private individuals and well wishers who are themselves logistically constrained

EQUALITY AND JUSTICE FOR LGBTIQ+ UGANDANS

EQUALITY AND JUSTICE FOR LGBTIQ+ UGANDANS

REQUEST TO DONATE TOWARDS EQUALITY AND JUSTICE FOR LGBTI+ UGANDANSABOUT TRIUMPH UGANDAThe Robust Initiative For Promoting Human Rights-TRIUMPH UGANDA is an independent charity organization founded in 2014 and duly registered with the Government of Uganda in 2016 as a community-led charity organization aspiring to remedy the improprieties caused by inadequate Human Rights respect and knowledge, increase in HIV/AIDS scourge, lack of knowledge on Sexual Health and Reproductive Health (SHRH) and addressing socio-economic drivers of HIV/AIDS amongLGBTIQ+ and other marginalized communities. The Need, LGBT+ Persons in Uganda continue to be on the margins of discrimination, arrests, imprisonment and violence solely based on their true or perceived sexual orientation. A sharp increase in the violence was more visible in 2014 during the Anti-Homosexuality Act that was annulled by the court on technicalities however, the situation remains volatile up to date as homophobia-motivated arrests continue even during the Global Covid-19 pandemic making the already marginalized community more vulnerable and need of specifically tailored support as that TRIUMPH UGANDA continues to do including [provision of legal Aid, addressing Homophobia through stakeholders sensitisation and provision of direct health consumables. However, it is impossible for TRIUMPH UGANDA to provide the very needed support without resources and we thus request you to consider donating to our initiative today. With your support, we will scale up the provision of both legal support and direct HIV medication access as well as advocating for a more humane legal framework for LGBTIQ+ community in Uganda. We believe any amount can cause an impact; please donate as much as possible and send us a message so we can send ''flowers'' of appreciation. Further information, find us on www.Facebook.com/triumphuganda and www.triumphuganda.jimdofree.com.THANK YOU ALL!
