An atypical life path
Having left home at the age of 20 following a family dispute, Gilbert lived 1,000 lives travelling through Europe and Africa before returning to France 20 years ago.
On his return, he unfortunately found himself homeless and forced to beg. Far from feeling sorry for himself, he became a shoeshine boy to support himself and find somewhere to live.
Today, he's living in a dilapidated mobile home that's in danger of collapsing, and he's afraid of finding himself homeless again.
