After the travel expenses will be covered, other small expenses will need to also be covered in the meantime of looking for a job. I guess there are no small savings.

• The reason for this fundraising:

For complex family reasons that are difficult to explain, when I was 17, during the COVID period, I had to follow my family to the Caribbean, leaving everything behind and putting my social, academic, and professional life on hold to help out at home.

Now, at the age of 23, the number of concessions, sacrifices, and compromises that have accumulated over the past six years have led to high tension within the household and severely damaged family relationships.

I feel the need, for the sake of what remains of my young adult life and my desire to achieve my personal goals, to discover a less compartmentalized life, even if it means learning from my own mistakes, but above all for my mental health and to avoid reaching a point of no return, where I would have to cut ties with my family to prevent the worst in this relationship, which has been damaged by a lack of freedom.

I also want to get away from an environment where I don't feel at home or safe in terms of my “life choices,” as the French overseas departments and territories are not the most open-minded.

What's more, the distance from my loved ones, whom I miss enormously after all these years, is becoming too much to bear. I find myself in a situation where I have decided to leave and return to mainland France, where I want to settle down and take control of my life.

However, in recent years, I have not had the opportunity, time, or energy to work and save money for this purpose, nor have I been fortunate enough to have relatives who can help me achieve this goal.

That is why I am setting up this fund to finance the necessary travel and expenses between my current home in Martinique and the place where I will be staying until I can get back on my feet in Limoges.
