Managed by a woman named Sylvia, Siyakhula Educare Center is a crèche situated in Gugulethu Township in the Western Cape province of South Africa. Welcoming over 50 children from 6 months to 6 years of age. Conditions for children are very poor: the current installation is very basic and inadequate (there is no kitchen, no ablution facilities or water supply on the pot) and there is no stimulating activities or game for the kids.
The NGO MAFUBO (www.mafubo.org) decided to help Sylvia and created the project to renovate this creche and provide a safe and adapted environment for the children.
We have already started the construction work: renovation of four containers of 20-foot offered by the French shipping company CMA-CGM, renovation of the existing building, connect the centre to the water network, installation of separate sanitary facilities with hand-washing points…
The funds will help to provide material adapted to different age groups and necessities:
Kitchen: hotplate, microwave, fridge.
Nap room: waterproof mattresses, blankets and shelves, cushions, books for the library …
Study rooms: educational material, tables chairs…
Baby room: folding beds, educational material…
Outside area: swing, slide, sand pit, balls...
If the total amount is reached, the extra money will be used to buy the Jojotank and finance the outdoor development (purchase of outdoor games, sandbox area...).

Le Siyakhula Educare Centre est dirigé par Sylvia, il est situé dans le Township de Gugulethu en Afrique du Sud. Environ 50 enfants sont accueillis chaque jour dans cette crèche. Les installations, très sommaires et vétustes, sont inadaptées aux jeunes enfants: il n'y a pas de cuisine, pas de véritables toilettes. L'équipe de la crèche n'a pas accès aux équipements adéquats ou à des jeux stimulant l'éveil des enfants.
L'ONG MAFUBO (www.mafubo.org) a donc décidé de venir en aide à Sylvia avec un projet de rénovation de la crèche afin d'établir un environnement sain et épanouissant aux enfants du quartier.
Nous avons déjà commencé les travaux de construction: la rénovation de 4 containers de 20 pieds offerts par la CMA-CGM (compagnie de transport maritime) et la rénovation du bâtiment principal, installation de l'eau potable sur le site et de toilettes séparées...
Les fonds récoltés grâce à vous permettront d'acheter le matériel nécessaire et adéquat aux différents groupes d'âges des enfants:
Cuisine : plaques de cuisson, micro-onde, réfrigérateur.
Salle de sieste et bibliothèque : matelas waterproof pour la sieste, couvertures, et étagères, livres et coussins pour la bibliothèque...
Salle de classe : matériel scolaire, tables, chaises...
Salle pour les bébés : lits pour bébés, jouets pour participer à leur éveil...
Aire de jeux : balançoire, toboggan, bac à sable, ballons...
Si le montant total est atteint, l'argent en plus servira à acheter les Jojotank et financer l'aménagement de l'extérieur (achat des jeux extérieur, bac à sable ...).
