Holiday present for cleaners and security staff

AUP has much
invisible labour
but the most invisible is perhaps the work of the
cleaning staff who work for external cleaning contractors. They
come from the far suburbs in the morning and finish by 9 am
and earn
9 euros net an hour. Their lives are difficult.
So some of us thought

know
the ones in Combes and they can organise to distribute
between them and the staff in Grenelle
and the Quai. I am
not sure of other buildings but will try to work it out.
I am asking faculty for the cleaning staff in the teaching buildings.

Last year , Ursula took it upon herself to buy boxes of chocolates for all of the security staff who stand in the cold outside our buildings . They also work very long hours for little pay and are not AUP employees,
not invited to our Christmas parties or receive any CE benefits .
they also take risks in being the first point of contact with AUP. So we would also like to take this over from Ursula and give them each
a small Christmas present.
