Have you ever sat in a dentist’s chair, nodding politely while the doctor explains the procedure… and then suddenly they say the price — and your jaw drops so hard it nearly needs its own surgery?
If you have — then you know exactly how I felt.
It all started in September 2024. I bit into a sour candy (innocent, right?), heard a crack, and just like that… my front tooth was gone. Forever.
To make it even more cinematic, I had just started my shift at work. 👍🏻 Talk about a plot twist.
Since then, it’s been a toothless journey. I’ve had dentist visits, x-rays, and consultations every other month. I need an implant and crowns to replace what I lost — and slowly, I’m rebuilding my smile. But the full process won’t be finished until sometime in 2026.
Now, if adulting were easy, this would be just a funny story. But we all know how life loves to surprise us with receipts that look more like international flight tickets than dental bills.
And this one is… a lot.
So here I am, reaching out — a little vulnerable, a little toothless, and very hopeful — to ask:
