We are reaching out to you with a passionate appeal to support ShqipVille Social Bar & Podcast, the new project initiated by the non-profit organization "Maison Culturelle Belgo-Albanaise" in Brussels.

The history of the Albanian immigration in Belgium is an important and rich tale, dating back to the 60s. Established on February 24, 2022, Maison Culturelle Belgo-Albanaise is the first Albanian cultural center in Belgium but it isn't just that ; it's an ode to Albanian culture and a commitment to become a sharing experience and a vital meeting point for the Albanian Community in Belgium. This took the form of ShqipVille - a space for connection, support, and cultural exchange.

ShqipVille, located in the heart of Brussels at the Grand Place, is not just a physical space; it's a vibrant testament to our commitment to authenticity and recognition. We celebrate our cultural differences by promoting Albanian culture in one of Brussels' oldest buildings. But we are also paying homage to Belgian heritage, by making Brussels architecture a key player in ShqipVille. Indeed, with this new project, we'll honor Brussels' heritage by restoring the cellar where you'll have the opportunity to taste wine and listen to music in one of the best kept secret of our beautiful city.

Without financial support, grants, or political backing, we've come this far fueled only by our love for our common cultural heritage. ShqipVille is not just a house; it's a model where diversity is wealth, and where art and culture are the key to fostering a happy Belgian-Albanian cultural coexistence. That's why we need your support to continue our journey !

How You Can Make a Difference: the creation of the Social Bar & Podcast

50.000€ will be needed to support our next goal - the creation of ShqipVille Social Bar & Podcast. In just one year we have welcomed at ShqipVille over 75000 visitors from 100+ nationalities, as well as hosted a great number of artistic and cultural events. Our community in Belgium ( and Europe) has been greatly welcoming of our initiatives and demands for much more for the future.

In opening our Social Bar, we expect to enlarge our social and cultural activities in order to continue the promotion of our shared values and experiences. But also offer the real experience of Albanian hospitality : great food and beverage, great music and great conversation !

The Podcast project aims to offer an insight and respond to the various needs related to the migratory journey, offering tools and support, including citizenship and health awareness, employment and other subjects that foster the integration process. Several specialists on various topics will gather and talk/teach/debate about what they're passionate about.
