Krebs besiegen !

Liebe Spender_innen,

Unsere Freundin Katharina Pohlenz- Ein schönes, nettes und lebensfrohes Mädchen, 21 Jahre alt- kämpft nun schon seit fast 9 Jahren gegen Krebs.

Das erste Mal erkrankte sie mit 12 Jahren an Knochenkrebs, welcher zurückkehrte als sie 15 Jahre alt war. 2017 im Alter von 18 wurde erneut Krebs diagnostiziert, diesmal in ihrer Lunge.

Nun hat sie wieder ein Jahr harte Therapie und weitere Operationen hinter sich und es schien so als ob sie es wieder geschafft hätte. Doch bei der letzten Untersuchung wurde wieder etwas in ihrer Lunge gefunden, mit sehr hoher Wahrscheinlichkeit wieder Metastasen.

Nun sind die Behandlungsoptionen schon sehr ausgeschöpft und werden daher immer teurer. Kathi hätte jedoch die Chance sich in Amerika einer weiteren Behandlung zu unterziehen, welche aber wiederum noch teurer wäre und die Krankenkasse höchstwahrscheinlich nicht übernehmen würde.

Kathi ist der stärkste Mensch den wir kennen! Sie ist sehr hilfsbereit und jeder mag sie. Sie ist immer positiv und man würde ihr all das was sie durchmachen musste und immer noch durchmacht niemals anmerken.

Es ist uns sehr wichtig, ihr alle erdenklichen Behandlungsmöglichkeiten zu ermöglichen und wir bitten Euch von ganzem Herzen uns dabei zu helfen.

Our friend Katharina Pohlenz - a 21 year-old, ambitious, polite and life-loving girl- has been fighting cancer for over 8 years to this day.

The first time Kathi was diagnosed with bone cancer she was 12. It then returned when she was 15 years old. In 2017, at the age of 18 she had another relapse. This time, they found the cancer in her lungs.

At this point she had survived another year of intense therapy and surgeries and so it seemed as though she would have overcome the illness again. But during the last visit to the doctors, they found something in her lungs once more, most possible metastases.

Now, the treatment options are very exhausted and therefore more expensive. Kathi, however, would have the chance to undergo an additional treatment in the US. This therapy would be even more costly and would not be taken over by her health insurance.

Kathi is the strongest individual we know. She has overcome things only few people have had to face. She continues to fight with the same enthusiasm as in the beginning of her journey. Kathi refuses to accept the tragedy both her and her family were put through. She sets an example of positivity which inspires and will continue to inspire so many people.

Everyone knows her as the kindest, most patient and genuinely helpful person. Therefore, it is very important for us to make sure she receives the best treatment possible. So, we ask you with all our heart to please help us.
