Recycling plastic and beyond

Recycling plastic and beyond

Hello everyone & welcome to this money pot!Dhruba is a Nepali man living in Changunarayan, who hosts volunteers from all over the world for cultural exchange, so people can learn and experience Nepali way of life and he can learn from them as well. We're Dhruba's volunteers and the aim of this project is to provide everything needed for the community to begin to differentiate different kinds of waste and manage them all properly. Its common for Nepali people to just throw away or even burn their garbage, there are no big containers to keep all the waste together, which we aim to provide. This is extremely bad for the environment, and even if we install these containers there is no system for removal so our next step will be to get in touch with an organisation to help remove and recycle all the plastic produced on a long term basis. Firstly we will buy and supply trash containers for all members of the community.Once this has become the standard practice in the area, we want to provide a recycling machine, with help from the MGO who will give a donation for every trash they collect.Once the people able to recycle independantly this will create many new opportunities for locals. With all the funding we would be able to supply trash collectors in a matter of weeks. Then it would take approximately 18-24 months to build up enough donations to buy the recycling machines and start selling recycled materials to larger companies i.e Sana Hastakala, Jamarko. Which will then create their own products from our waste materials. With just 1-click you can support an environmental project* Give however much you want* All payments are 100% secure* Why It's hassle-free!Thank you!

Beat plastic pollution

Beat plastic pollution

About 300 million tons of plastic are  produced globally each year. Only about 10 percent of that is recycled. Of the plastic that is simply trashed, an estimated seven million tons ends up in the sea each year. There, it breaks down into smaller and smaller fragments over the the year 2050 is estimated that there will be more plastic than fish in the ocean.almost all sea food we eat contains tiny pieces of plastics.seafood lovers really eating 11,000 bits of plastic per year? To help reduce plastic waste we started an initiative whereby we recycle this plastic wastes into building materials which are affordable  and durable  that people can use to construct wise though recycling of this plastics it help to reduce the number of plastics entering the ocean also it  creates employment to people who works for plastic collection.   I started as a $20  initiative jut 15 years old 3 years ago till now we have been able to recycle more than 2 million plastics which could otherwise end up in the ocean and it my hope that if this effort is scaled up we can be able to create more impact and reduce plastic pollution globally.  currently we have been able to purchase a shredder and an extruder but your contribution will help us to obtain an industrial hydrolic press and mixer which will enable us recycle more plastic wastes which could otherwise end up on our environment or in the wise by contributing to this you will enable local societies to get access to durable building materials that are made from recycle plastic wastes.the funds rised will go to purchasing a hydrolic press and a mixer that are going to be used in the recycling of plastic wastes every block that you can see in the picture above is make from more than 200 plastic bags hence this shows that there is still potential of beating plastic pollution globally. and i the long run the initiative is a potential sustainable answer to plastic pollution and youth employment.
