Contemporary Dance Night & Nje Ndani Project

Contemporary Dance Night & Nje Ndani Project

WHAT IS NANTEA?Nantea Dance Company is a non-profit dance company in Dar es Salaam (Tanzania).  In 2015 Alawi Saidi Alawi and Samwel Japhlet decided to found a dance company specialized on contemporary dance after they met during a three years dance program of MUDA Africa dance School in Dar es Salaam.  With the aim to produce new works and activities through dance, mixing traditional and contemporary techniques and reaching out to young upcoming and eager artists to find their own voice in arts, they finally registered the company in late 2015. ‘Nantea’ meaning ‘trap’ in a bantu language of southern Tanzania quickly became the final name of the company. Since the beginning the company’s activities grew into different directions. During the years Nantea Dance Company produced seven own choreographies that toured to different events and festivals in and outside of Tanzania. Since three years, starting from 2016, Nanteas Members are giving regular yoga classes and dance classes under the name Africonte. In 2017 they successfully accomplished their own outreach program Nje Ndani and since 2018 they regularly conduct their own dance event called Contemporary Dance Night which is happening twice a year in Dar es Salaam.   Link: https://web.facebook.com/Nantea-Dance-Company-934188093340560/?ref=bookmarks            https://youtu.be/U06i9HbN0q8         https://youtu.be/b3ZOfZkcmRA         https://youtu.be/_fl5axZYPXA Instagram: @nanteadance                                         CONTEMPORARY DANCE NIGHT EVENT Since 2018, Nantea Dance Company organizes a dance event called Contemporary Dance Night twice a year in February and July/October. The aim of this dance event is to provide a platform for young Tanzanian contemporary dance artists to present their works to a diverse audience. In the future, Nantea Dance Company strives to invite accomplished choreographers, artistic directors of festivals and companies from Africa and other continents to the festival. Thus Tanzanian dance artists will have the opportunity to presents their works to exchange and to network with invited guests from regional and international dance scenes. Contemporary Dance Night has successfully attracted national and international audiences and is taking place in different venues; it is known to be well organized and is free of charge. With every edition we observe a growth in the audience which might be due to the improvements we could make as we provide materials to leave feedback to performers and organizers on a feedback desk Links:http:// https://youtu.be/VULpsfGVNIo           https://youtu.be/rGGXcQXbcQ0                                                        NJE NDANI PROJECT Nje Ndani Project which means in and out project in English, is an outreach dance project led by Nantea Dance Company. It was setup with the aim to introduce, teach and show new dance forms and techniques to other dance artists across Tanzania and to strengthen the connection and relation between dance artists across the country by offering dance workshops and seminars. There are more than 120 district ethnic groups and tribes in Tanzania and each tribe has approximately 5 traditional dances. There are many different dance groups and companies that are based on traditional dances, local dances, hip hop, break- dance and commercial dances. We want to share, show and teach new dance forms and techniques such as: choreography thinking, structure of building movements and transition from traditional dance and other dances to contemporary forms. Nantea dance team consists of first graduates from MuDa Africa, a school of contemporary and African dances in Tanzania. Throughout the last years the members have all individually attended and participated in several dance workshops, festivals, residences, projects and trainings with national and international choreographers in Africa and abroad. Through all these experiences they have been learning and expanding their knowledge and skills. Nantea dance wants to use their ability to share their experiences, knowledge, skills and techniques with other dancers across Tanzania who are new to these dance forms and techniques.                                               AIMING OF THE PROJECTThe aim of Nje Ndani Project is to inspire and motivate the youth and especially young and upcoming artists to make use of their talents, to discover new things and to broaden their and our horizons of possibilities. The participants will be given new ways and means of expressions as a tool to find their own ways to survive in order to fulfill their dreams rather than staying at home or doing nothing. We also want to discuss and talk with artists and youth about problems and challenges that we are all facing in our societies and the art industries and about the question how we can use our talents, our creativity and our skills to overcome them. Links: https://web.facebook.com/934188093340560/videos/1418288881597143/          http:// https://web.facebook.com/934188093340560/videos/1418264878266210/                                           WHY DO WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT?Your sopport will keep empowering our events and projects to exists every early annual. To support artists by giving a platform and financial, bear all the arrangement expenses needed for the event. To outreach to young artists who believe a life in danceTo get access of having permits every season of the event

I don't want money for free I want to earn money for the camera.   So if You will donate my money pots in donations up to 40 pounds You can take and use 5 of photos from my facebook page anywhere You want. If You donate my project between 40 - 200 Pounds You will get printed photography on a canvas! If You spend 200-400 Pounds I will make You a family session anywhere in the UK mainland and Islands and if You will donate my with 400 or more pounds I will make You a full wedding photography package including weeding session !!! So I hope that is a good deal :) You will help me start working as a photographer and I will do some good shots of Your wedding or family or whatever You want !!  Thank's for help and appreciate it !!!

Photography for My Cookery Book

Photography for My Cookery Book

I have written a plant-based cookery book, provisionally entitled "Speedy Vegan Feasts" (the photo here is of one of the recipes, a meat- and dairy-free lasagne. Looks appetising, eh? :-) In order to have my work published, I require photos of at least half of the dishes (there are 61 in total of all types: soups, starters, appetisers, main courses, desserts, and sweet treats).  I will need to have them shot by a professional food photographer: he has done a free sample of 3 of the recipes so far, of which the pictured lasagne is one.  The photographer has quoted me a favourable rate of £850 per day, and we are aiming to shoot around 5-6 of the dishes each day, which is a lot of cooking! Therefore the estimated cost for the whole job is likely to be at least £3000, trying to do it as tightly and economically as possible. This then is the amount I am aiming to raise so that I can have the photos done professionally and get into print. Any help anyone can give towards this would be most gratefully received, and all donors will be credited in the book once it is published, and will also each receive a free copy of the book!  Vegan cookbooks are currently in high demand, since the vegan movement has exploded over the last few years, so I am confident there is a market for this book. I am hoping it will have a more general appeal, not just to vegans, but also to other people who are cutting down on meat and dairy products in their diets for whatever reason.  So if you can support my project in any way, it will be a huge help to me.

A step towards my theater career

A step towards my theater career

Hello and Namaste everyone ! I am a theater student from a beautiful small country, Nepal. It has always been my passion to be a professional theater artist with varied artistic skills to be benefited with theatrical knowledge and professional growth because I believe drama/play can be an effective medium for bringing social change. In February 2019, I had a privilege to perform in a play directed by French director, Maxime Sechaud in Sarwanam Theater. Being impressed with my performance and acting, he has invited me to take part in Big Win 2 project in France happening this August 2019. Big Win 2 is International Theater Project where actors and directors from different countries ( India, Hongkong, China, Uganda, Nepal, Germany, France, England, Palestine) collaborate, rehearse and perform on an issue together which will be for about 6 weeks and this continues for 3 years. That is very big chance for me as it can be life changing opportunity for me where i can get international exposure and experience, come back and share it to my friends and other artists, get motivated to raise voice against social problems that has deeply rooted in Nepalese society through street theater. But I have to manage travel cost to take part in this event which is approximately £1000 (One Thousand Pounds) that I cannot afford because of my weak economic situation. Please help me to get to my dream and pursue my career as a professional theater artist and contribute to my society.https://myrepublica.nagariknetwork.com/mycity/news/pijada-ki-chari-freeing-the-caged-bird?fbclid=IwAR396oekDn6yILxb02Afq-pnE8Z5ypAT3qCrOpot8lk6XuL1yL901EAVlVo https://youtu.be/euXnwz3W8Tw

Books For Children

Books For Children

Hello everyone and thank you for looking at Books For Children. I am an author of children's stories my pen name is Elsie Thomas. My aim is to create books of magic learning for children.  Here is about Emmi the elephant. Emmi the elephant has a book, this is a magic book that can read her any story she wants, princess, dragons, magical, rainbows any books at all. Now when the magic book reads to Emmi, it does not just tell her the story, but Emmi turns into the main character from the story! She turns into a princess, a prince, a dragon and numerous other characters. Each book is a different story for Emmi, each book is a lesson she learns as well though. Emmi learns how to be kind, how to help a child without friends, how to help her mum, how to help a lost puppy, how to be kind to a child with an illness. The lessons are in a fun way, they are not straight to the point. Emmi is the main character who sees something or someone that is wrong, and rather than leaving the child crying without friends, she finds a solution to help the child. The aim is to produce enough money to pay a designer to draw up images for the books. Each book will be around 40 pages, with an image on each page and the text incorporated. However that is not all, in each book there will be an image drawn by a child, and at the end of the book, there will be information for parents to contact me if their child would like to draw a picture for the book. It is a great way to engage kids into reading more, they will see their drawing in a published book, that millions of children will also see. I will be hiring freelance designers to draw images, as well as freelance proofreaders. Along with that, once sales start coming in, I am going to try to use a % of it to donate the books as well to schools, hospitals etc. So, thank you for reading and I hope you can support me. Thank you!
