400 pipers and drummers in Amiens to commemorate the battle of the Somme centenary and deliver a message of peace.

Bienvenue sur cette cagnotte !
Notre projet est de commémorer autrement le Centenaire de la Bataille de la Somme.
Il s’agit de créer un évènement différent, ciblé grand public, avec un esprit festif, tourné vers la Paix et l’Amitié entre les Nations. A sa manière, cet évènement honorera la mémoire des soldats de la Grande Guerre, venus des 4 coins du monde combattre sur notre territoire.
Nous accueillerons 400 joueurs de cornemuse à Amiens, les 2 et 3 juillet 2016. Les musiciens viennent de l'Europe entière, voire même de plus loin, et animeront le centre ville d'Amiens durant les 2 jours.
Aidez-nous à accueillir au mieux les musiciens qui seront présents.
Cet évenement est officiellement inscrit au programme des commémorations de la Grand Guerre(label Centenaire 14-18).

Welcome to our online money box!
Our project is to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Battle of the Somme. On its own way, this event will honor the memory of the soldiers of the Great War who came from all around the world to fight and died on our land.
This special dedicated commemoration will take place in Amiens, on the 2nd and 3th of July 2016. To mark this special centenary commemoration, pipe bands will play in the streets of Amiens and will form a massed band in front of the cathedral. A large pipe bands parade will be held on Sunday afternoon.
Help us to make the best of it and support 1916-2016 United piper for peace, a very singular event which has been officially approved “Somme 2016” by “la mission du centernaire 14-18” and is now part of the Great War centenary national program.
