PARIS FOR THE PHILIPPINES

Organised for: Gawad Kalinga Foundation http://www.gk1world.com/typhoon-yolanda

Welcome to the PARIS FOR THE PHILIPPINES Donations Page!

Paris for the Philippines (PFTP) was founded by 5 Filipino moms married to French locals and a French-reared Filipino chef who have now planted roots in Paris and share one thing in common – a solid LOVE for the Philippines.

Born by the strong urge to raise aid and awareness for their motherland during the devastation left by Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda last November 2013, PFTP is now committed to the ongoing cause of rebuilding homes and rehabilitating lives of the many that are still displaced by the calamity - through their partner and the sole beneficiary of all their fundraising activities:  Gawad Kalinga.

Gawad Kalinga (GK), the most globally respected Philippine-born non-profit group leading the relief and rebuilding efforts in disaster-affected areas, envisions a strong united community that builds together, plants together, harvests together and rises together – believing that no one should be left behind. With this wholistic vision, they build GK villages in distraught areas that are each comprised of 30+ homes (1 home costs €2,200, a village costs at least €66,000) and which function harmoniously as a community where peace, order, morality, sustenance, and shelter are all fostered within residing individuals for a long-term road to prosperity and sustainability.

Donations made in this portal will be directed towards building one GK house at a time until we achieve a GK village in partnership with other fundraising communities that share the same vision.  We invite everyone regardless of ethnicity and geography to partake in our ongoing journey of charity, hope, compassion and LOVE.  Every one is welcome to be part of the Paris for the Philippines family, and every little contribution will definitely make a difference.

Thank you, MERCI, Salamat!
